Flood Warning [pts]

Chrys had been ignoring the flash flood warning on her phone all evening. She was much too busy with the book she had her nose buried in, in the corner of Killian's cafe. She hadnt noticed that she was the only one who didnt clear out of there.

Killian was busy that day with recreating his chalkboard menus so he also hadnt noticed the alarm blaring on his phoneeither, which was tossed in the back of the counter. He was thankful that it wasnt hectic in the cafe and he didnt think much of it.

When the rain started it came down fast and heavy. It took a huge boom of thunder for Killian to finally look out the window. His eyes were met with a flooding street. He was thankful he made sure the place was flood proof. Mona, his bewear, was already busying herself with sealing up the windows and doors for extra protection.

Chrys had been so quiet he didnt realize she was there until she let out a tiny sneeze. She looked at the window confused before standing and walking over to it. "oh.." she said in a small voice.

Killian knew there was no way for her to get anywhere in this weather. He had never spoken to her much, although she was a regular customer, and now it seemed she was trapped with him for the night.

After insisting for a while that she would be able to make it home she finally gave in to his screams of, "youre insane". Killian would have had to be blind to not notice the strange girl was quite attractive. He tried his usual flirtatious ways on her for a lot of the night. She just laughed as if it were all a joke, other times it would go right over her head. She was so innocent. No matter what he did or said, she didnt seem to be falling for it. So he gave up as well. Thats when the storm took out the power.

They talked for hours, drinking coffee and staring out the window. They found they had a lot in common and Killian was impressed with her knowledge of coffee. He had no idea why he didnt speak to her sooner. 

In the morning when the streets and sky cleared up, Chrys chipperly bid him goodbye and thanked him for his hospitality. She was used to staying up all night and sleeping during the day. Killian on the other hand grumped and watched his first customer of the day walk in as she left, having not slept at all.
